Brandon (pictured left) was born and raised in Modesto where he grew up making Cabernets and Zinfandel with his family. This early devotion to agriculture created a passion to learn more about the plant sciences. Brandon went on to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated in 2006 with a B.S. in Pomology.
After graduating, Brandon began making wine on a more scientific level, achieving recognition for his Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel wines in local and state competitions.
Winemaking has spanned across generations and still remains part of the Rebiero family tradition.
"Being part of a Portugese family, it's normal to have a glass of wine with dinner or at a family gathering. It brings people together. Some of my fondest memories are of my brother, grandfather and I working hard to produce a vintage. It's a rewarding sense of joy, tasting wine that has been nurtured in a barrel for years. To me, winemaking allows me to express my passion in the most tangible way and I'm excited to share that passion with others."
"My vision for Spectra Vino is to become the premier hand-crafted, small batch winery with a focus on quality and artistic expression."
John Wilson (pictured right) is a California transplant, by way of Nashville, Tennessee.
With a desire to pivot from big box brand to hand-crafted boutique, John left his post at a large winery in California's Central Valley to start Spectra Vino, a wine company focused on weaving together the art and wine experience.
"Creatively, it's our vision to partner with mixed-medium artists to commission the face of our labels, transforming a standard bottle into a handcrafted piece of art. We're committed to commissioning 100% of our label artwork and providing a platform that highlights the artist's work, specifically made for each wine."
“Spectra Vino not only celebrates art in label form, but of course, through the intricacies of our winemaking. Our creative palates are crafted by our award winning vintner, Brandon Rebiero."
"Although some may see wine as one dimensional, it was our aim to create a company that authentically celebrates all of wine’s multifaceted art forms -- in it’s fullest spectrum."
